Students

Student Information:
Total student enrolments for our school is 533.
The average attendance rate as a percentage in 2008 was 91 %.
We provide opportunities for students to be involved in a wide range of extra curricula activities:
Interschool sport for year 6 & 7 students. Sports offered include Soccer, Netball, Rugby League, Cricket, Softball, Volleyball and Newcombe. The schools Physical Education program is aligned to teaching the skills associated with these sports from Prep to Year 7.
Students in years 5 – 7 are able to access the school’s Instrumental Music Program which involves
Percussion and Woodwind. Students in this program then become involved in the school’s orchestra.
Students in year 4 are able to access recorder lessons in preparation for their involvement in the Instrumental Music program.
A school choir performs for the general public at numerous venues.
The school offers Active After School Hours Activities which are aimed at encouraging student fitness and sporting skills.
Our students enter a number of academic competitions such as the District Maths Tournament and the University of New South Wales competitions which are run annually.
Our students participate in a range of community events such as the local Anzac Day March.

A multi-faith religious education program is conducted for all students in Years 2 to 7.
All students are exposed to the High Five strategy to reduce the incidence of bullying within the school.
The Chaplain organises and runs a number of programs aimed at improving student relationships and values.
Year 6 & 7 Indigenous students are involved in a Literacy Leadership program through the development of Web Page Design.
The production of podcasts by years 5, 6 & 7 students under the guidance of Learning Support staff.
