Principal's Report 29/10/09

The uniform for 2010 has been approved by the P & C and is as follows:-

Polo shirt – currently on display. (The green in this shirt is bottle green).

Black shorts, skorts or skirt.

Hat – Full brimmed, surf hat or legionnaire style

Footwear - Fully enclosed shoes/joggers

Socks – Short or long in suitable colour

Winter wear - Track suit bottoms – black

Jumpers – Bottle green, Rugby style long sleeved shirt (to be redesigned same as polo)

Class lists for 2010 are currently being compiled and will be available in the last week of the term. If you have any requests relating to your child’s placement please put these in writing. If your child will not be returning in 2010 please also advise me in writing.

WOW! What an outstanding success the launch of our School Wide Positive Behaviour Program and the visit by Channel 9 were on the last Tuesday of last term. Video presentation of both events is available on the school’s website. Take the time to view the video below. It shows the launch held in the hall on Tuesday 15th September at 9:00am. The presentation was followed by a day of rotational activities (View the Videos) revolving around our five expectations and a visit by the Channel 9 weather team for year 6 & 7 students. The day was concluded with a special assembly in the Performing Arts hall at 2:15pm. (View the Videos)

Cash Window

Please remember the school’s cash window is open for payments on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:00am until 12:00 noon. No payments will be accepted on a Tuesday. Eftpos facilities are available for your convenience.

Newsletter for 2010

In the new year our newsletter will only be accessible through our school website. All our news dates to remember and information will be posted to the website in a section dedicated to our newsletter. The newsletter will be in an easy to read format (similar to what you see now) and can be downloaded and printed if you wish. We will be printing a small number (approx 20) of paper copies and holding these in the office.

Please remember the tuckshop opens at 8:40am. Orders are to be in by 10:00am. New menu is out now.

Chappy’s Chatter Hello. I would like to introduce myself. I am Tracy Sbresni, the new school chaplain. I am excited to be part of this school. This is my first chaplaincy position and I am still learning all there is to being a chaplain.

I am looking forward to using a lot of the ideas from the leaders and other chaplains. Thank you to all who have made me feel welcome. I am gradually getting to know people and can put names to faces. If you see me around the school please come up and say hello.
